The Eco-Friendly Furniture
We are a company which is very concerned for 'green' furniture, we found that the possibilities with green furniture are quite vast and diverse. However, it can be challenging to be able to tell if the furniture is eco-friendly and contains recycled parts.
For furniture we desired products that are durable, practical, comfortable,
esthetically pleasing and that were manufactured from some type of recycled material.
Incorporating recycled content into our furniture pieces is important because it would
give us the opportunity to reuse items that are otherwise not useful to others.
We only desire products that have a certification from the Forest Sustainability Council.
Green furniture can be defined as products that are created using sustainable methods before, during and after the materials are created. Having Forest
Stewardship Council (FSC) labeled wood, low or no levels of VOCs released and
sustainable method of removal at the end of their usefulness is ideal.
